Is Acceptance Possible?

Do you know those days where life seems like it’s just not fair? Those days where you try to do something cool and just get bogged down in yucky techy details that you really could give a rat’s butt about? Where you look at the clock eight hours later and haven’t accomplished anything close to what you initially set out to do?

Really? Well I’m having a few of them in a row!

My main problem so far has been with the media library which I assume stores pictures among other things. Well, I can’t upload or insert photos, and I’ve had the “call to” error message in the media library. So, I’ve hunted down the “solution” re Word Press forums, reinstalled Word Press (twice now) and still had the same problem. I’m getting tired of spending all my time chasing down “solutions” while my initial dream of writing a blog sits on the shelf.

Yes, I’m sure I’m not the only one with this problem. In fact, I know this is not the worst of the world’s problems, but frankly, at times like these, I just don’t care. I want what I want when I want it and I want it now! (Can you see me stamping my feet?)

What it boils down to is that life is not fair. It’s just not fair that this program doesn’t work like a snap the first (or fifth) time that I use it. It’s not fair that I have to do other techy things rather than the cool creative stuff that I planned on. And it’s not fair that my day gets sucked up with it all.

But you know what? If I look at the whole picture, there are some very cool paybacks. Through all these errors and hunts for solutions, I’ve learned a heck of a lot more about Word Press than I knew a month ago. When I was installing and uninstalling, I had to set up a few things over and over again. It’s now much easier to find my way around this program AND do some creative stuff with the code I would have never ventured into if I didn’t have to.

And, that makes me pretty proud of myself. So, all in all, life is fair. It’s just in the way we look at it. Now let’s see if this picture of me throwing kisses uploads!

Note: Nope! It didn’t upload. Had to use my newly learned work-around. Yeah for me!
