5 Fabulous Ways to have a Fantastical Day

As I strive for balance in my life, there are a few things I like to do on a daily basis to help me achieve that goal. One is my morning routine. It’s like a ritual for me and if I skip it I soon feel out of whack. Try it yourself and see if this routine doesn’t add some equilibrium to your life.

1. Have a drink!
No seriously. A drink of lemon and hot water is the best way to clean out any leftover debris in your digestive tract and get it ready for a brand new day. It’s kind of like giving your body a mini spring cleaning!

2. Shhhhhh!
Starting the day off with meditation gives us a more centered state mind. Morning is said to be the best time to attain the meditative state as the hustle and bustle of the day hasn’t yet started and the energy in the Western part of the world is still relatively calm.
I personally like the ideas in K. Stone’s post on Dumb Little Man dot com. I combine meditation with what’s next on my list - exercise. Getting in that zone first thing in the morning sets me up for a more relaxed state of mind for the rest of the day.

3. Shake, Rattle and Roll.
Nothing makes me feel better than exercising in the morning, whether it’s doing aerobics to a video or getting out for a brisk walk. I do it in part for vanity and in part to alleviate various ache and pains. It also boosts those endorphins making me a much happier person as I go about my day.

4. Eat! Eat! Eat!
I absolutely can not go without this one but I know many who turn green at the thought. Eating a healthy breakfast gives you the nourishment you need to be able to concentrate. It also helps with weight loss. A good breakfast gives you more energy to get up and at it, and prevents you from over eating later in the day.

5. Watery Music.
The best part of the morning for me is soaking in the bath while the music wafts around my ears. Nothing transports me like music whether it be rock and roll to pump it up, Buddha Bar to mix it up or classical music to smooth it out. Whatever works for you, put it on and turn it up!

Then have a fantastical day. You can’t miss!
